Intimacy, Trust, and Transformation—One Gathering At a Time
Our aim at The Well is to have a very high percentage of our visitors and members be actively and regularly part of home groups.
Acts 2:42 – 47
Biblical "Koinonia" Fellowship
koinonia
koi·no·nia ˌkȯinəˈnēə • Greek
- The Christian fellowship or body of believers
- intimate spiritual communion and participative sharing in a common religious commitment and spiritual community
- the koinonia of the disciples with each other and with their Lord
What we achieve with home groups:
Close quarter fellowship to bring breakthrough to those who can get lost in the bigger gatherings, or who simply don’t feel confident enough to attend the big gatherings.
Trust, affinity, and intimacy with a smaller group towards fruitful commitment to a walk with Christ.
The Puritans used to say, “Keep short accounts with both God and men.” It means we don't accumulate backlogs of bitterness, guilt, resentment, or shame.
Short accounts with a small group leads to great transparency, accountability and breakthrough towards fruitfulness.
Learning more in individual relationship with God, using the gifts of the Spirit, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit etc is more easily accomplished in the small group.
Learning the broader culture of the church takes place faster and more easily in a small group.
